Two 19th Century IMARI Dragon Bowls

Two Antique Meiji Imari Dragon Bowls from Japan.  Made around the end of the 19th century.   Featuring a dragon motif hand painted in white and blue glaze and a gold rim using 24 carat gold pigment.

The Dragon in Japan is a powerful symbol and represents Japanese deities.

In very good condition for its age, with no cracks or chips. The stand is not included in the sale of this item.

Dimensions of each bowl:  Weight 290 grams   Diameter 14.5 cm and Height 4.5 cm
