A snowscape of the neighbourhood leading to the Kameyama Shrine in Kishu. A noodle shop selling persimmons and other small goods heralds the entrance to the bridge which leads to the torii gate.

Printed in 1941 and with the Artist red Shima seal and the Publisher Seal of Uchida.

In very good overall condition with good bleed to the verso of the print and all the margins intact.

Dimensions of the sheet are approximately 29 cm Height and 42.5 cm width.

Tomochikiro Tokuriki 1902 – 2000 was born in Kyoto into a family of artists spanning over
over 12 generations. Having established himself as a successful painter he moved to the art of woodblock printing.  He also setup the Matsukyu Publishing Company in 1945 and was able to create, carve and print woodblock prints for the local market.
