Ebina Masao Tales of Genji 5 Woodblock Prints

From the iconic love story The Tales of Genji, five woodblock prints from the series by artist Ebina Masao.

1953 First-Early Edition Oban size Woodblock Prints on handmade washi paper. Each print depicts a scene from The Tales of Genji.  The artist is Ebina Masao and the publisher Yamada Shoin.

Every story on the reverse of each print in both Japanese as well as English.  Some are also decorated with Silver and Gold mica.

The woodblock prints are in very good condition with signs of foxing stains.  The prints are also mounted in individual folders and tipped at the top edge to the folder.
