A very beautiful Antique Gold Lacquer Kanzashi Comb And Hairpin Set with all the hallmarks of Kanzashi from the EDO Era. Real gold pigment has also been used in the lacquering process. The intricate and detailed handwork of flowers and fauna by a highly skilled craftsman is still intact.

The set ships with a box.
Both the Kushi and Kogai are in very good condition. The wooden spoke on the Kogai has signs that it may have been shortened by the original owner. Please study the images carefully as this is an antique item and is estimated to be over 140 years old.
Kanzashi of this era and craftmanship is getting rarer and is also harder to find. This is a beautiful and rare set which belonged to one owner who has cared for it lovingly over many decades.
