Classic and beautifully underglazed signed and hand painted pair of Antique Kakiemon style porcelain plates. With an early Imari signature approximately 170 years old on the base of the Fuchi-Daka (high rim) plates. In remarkable condition for their age with vibrant unfaded colours and no cracks chips or damage.
The signature on the base appears to be the work of Aoki Kyodai-Shokai (Aoki Brothers Company) or Dai Nippon Hizen Arita Aoki-sei. The Aoki Kyodai-Shokai was founded in the 1890’s by Aoki Jinichiro (1863-1955). Gotheborg on Aoki Brothers Company
Completely hand painted in Kakiemon style with intricate detail and gold pigment highlights.
