Japanese Army 1920s Tokkuri Sake Bottle
A beautiful piece of craftmanship. A Tokkuri Sake Bottle produced for use by the Japanese Army between 1920 to 1940. The Kutani kiln signature seal is present on the base.
Antique Japanese Army Sake (Tokkuri) bottle. Hand painted with real gold highlights and completely covered with embossed chrysanthemums in a red pattern.
On the base is written “Discharge commemoration” and the solider’s name “Ota”. The Kutani Kiln signature seal is in the middle. Traditional glaze crazing at the mouth and the base of the bottle.
