1950s Signed Mino Ware Tea Ceremony Bowl

A rare 1930s to 1950s Vintage Signed Mino Ware Tea Bowl from Japan.  Hand formed crafted and glazed Mino Ware is the trademark for ceramic wares from the town of Tajimi in Mino province.  It is In excellent condition with no cracks or chips and the seal of the potter is on the base of the bowl.

Mino ware ceramics date back 1300 years.  Tajimin city is in Gifu ken (prefecture) in central Honshu.  Gifu lies along the Toki River, northeast of Nagoya.
