Rare Framed Kunikazu Diptych 2 of Pair

Utagawa Kunikazu 1830 to 1920.

A very rare and original Utagawa Kunikazu Diptych Woodblock print.  A pair of Kamigata-e Chuban size Woodblock prints framed to museum conservation standard.

Featuring Kabuki play “Daitou No Miya Giyoroi” and actor Ichikawa Ebizo at right along with Arashi Rikan as Hanazono at left.

In excellent condition and printed circa 1850s.  Kunikazu studied under the great Kunisada.

The prints are also mounted on a single mat and framed to Museum Conservation Standards.  Print tipped to acid free foam core backing and mat by rice paper hinges upper corners and wheatflour starch adhesive.  True Vue 99% Anti UV Glass.
