This series is considered to be Hiroshige’s best work. The prints depict Mount Fuji in differing seasons and weather conditions from a variety of different places and also from different distances.
This series in landscape orientation was originally created in 1858 just prior to his death.

Hiroshige is best known for his landscapes as well as his depictions of birds and flowers. He created many woodblock print series such as the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokkaido along with the Sixty-nine Stations of the Kiso Kaido. He was considered the last great master of the woodblock print tradition.
