Rare Framed Kunikazu Diptych 1 of Pair

Rare Osaka School Diptych Utagawa Kunikazu (1830 to 1910)

A very rare original Chuban Woodblock Diptych print by Utagawa Kunikazu.  Kunikazu studied under renowned woodblock print artist Kunisada.   A pair of Kamigata-e Chuban size Woodblock prints framed to museum conservation standard.

Kabuki play “Daitou No Miya Giyoroi” Ichikawa Ebizo at right and Arashi Rikan as Hanazono at left.

In excellent condition.  Printed circa 1850s.

The prints are also mounted on a single mat and framed to Museum Conservation Standards.  Print tipped to acid free foam core backing and mat by rice paper hinges upper corners and wheatflour starch adhesive.  True Vue 99% Anti UV Glass.

Framed dimensions approximately 41 cm height and 53 cm width
