Hiroshige Seven Mile Beach Sagami Woodblock Print Free Shipping

An Oban size woodblock print by Hiroshige.  Seven Mile Beach Sagami Province (Sagami Shichiri-ga-hama) on the island of Enoshiyama.  The print is Number 19 from the series Thirty Six Views of Mount Fuji (Fuji sanjurokkei).

Two women in a pavilion observe a woman and children walk along a beach at Srichirigahama. Also featured in the background are Mount Fuji and the island of ENOSHIYAMA.

Signed Hiroshige I Publisher Tsutaya Kichizo (Koeido).  Censors Seal horse 4 blockcutters mark Edo period 1858 (Ansei 5), 4th month.

Printed on hand made washi paper.

This print was published c1840 to 1842 by Yamasho.

The Dimensions are 37 cm  high and  25.2 cm wide

Hiroshige is best known for his landscapes as well as his depictions of birds and flowers.   He created many woodblock print series such as the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokkaido along with the Sixty-nine Stations of the Kiso Kaido.  He was considered the last great master of the woodblock print tradition.
