Kunisada Bijin-ga Woodblock Print

Mid 20th C Toyokuni Woodblock Beautiful Geisha.  An exquisite hand produced genuine woodblock print by Utagawa Toyokuni (1769 – 1825).  It is beautifully detailed and rendered depiction of a young Geisha.  A beautiful print in excellent condition.

Originally published mid EDO era.  This version published mid 20th Century.

Toyokuni III

Utagawa Kunisada also known as Utagawa Toyokuni III.   (1786 – 12 January 1865).  Toyokuni III was the most popular and successful designer of ukiyo-e woodblock prints in 19th-century Japan.  His reputation far exceeded that of his contemporaries, Hokusai, Hiroshige and Kuniyoshi.
