Sundays At The Iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine Kyoto

The Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto is one of the most iconic and visited sites in Kyoto, Japan.  A busy Sunday in Kyoto with many hundreds of tourists and devotees visiting the Shrine.

Some of the other fabulous images during our visit.  I am not able to show are the beautiful dancers and melodic singers and musicians on a Sunday afternoon.  Photos of this activity are not allowed.   The famous red lacquer pillars go all the way up the mountain making it a spectacular sight from an aerial view and on the ground.

Sundays are one of the busiest days at the Shrine.

Kasasagi has woodblock prints by Kato and many other artists, including the now famous woodblock print of the Fushimi Imari Shrine immortalised by Kato.
