Torii Kiyonaga 1752-1815 was a student of Torii Kiyomitsu. Adopted by the Torii family after the death of his master. He went on to operate the family business of print and bookmaking and became a major printmaker of his time. His art covered all the popular subjects at the end of the 18th century.
